2003 Packet Digital is founded Packet Digital is founded in Fargo, North Dakota, initially focusing on power-saving computer chips. 2004-2007 Wireless tracking systems Packet Digital got its start designing and building wireless tracking systems for agricultural harvesting and shipping logistics. 2008 PowerSage is developed Packet Digital develops its patented power management integrated circuits — PowerSage. This allows the chip to monitor a device’s activity in real-time and distribute the amount of voltage required for a specific task — increasing battery life by as much as 400%. 2009-2013 Power Management Systems Packet Digital continues to build advanced power management systems including battery management systems for Formula E race cars and light electrical vehicles. Packet Digital also developed its first power management and distribution boards as well as maximum power point tracking devices. 2014 Drone power management program kicks off Packet Digital completes its first significant drone power system with the U.S. Marines.
